K: Eric Carle's Texture Study

Each student made a plate using a paint brush and
jabbing the brush onto the plate to make it look "bumpy". Inspired from Sutter Park Elementary School and Brown Bear Brown Bear!

The students glued down little pieces of yellow paper to make the duck have a "rough" texture.
Each student took a plate and painted it and then used a paint dabber to make it have a "scaley" texture.

The K'ers have been discovering how to add texture into their artwork. With the help of Eric Carle and his picture books - the students recreated many of his characters using tons of different texture techniques. The flower pictures were also created by the students using painted paper and modge podge.
